This painting represents a work of the highest quality by the Piedmontese painter Giovanni Michele Graneri. The scene depicts a guitar player, a violin player who is probably the same as Graneri, and some diners who entertain themselves by listening to music. The figures are typical of the style of Graneri and this painting stands out for its size: it is in fact rare to find a painting by this painter so great, as he used to paint small paintings with small scenes of everyday life. The conservation of the work is optimal and the frame is still coeval with the work.
